A discount rate is the percentage of each transaction that you pay to your card processor for processing your credit card sales. These fees are largely influenced by the percentage that MasterCard and Visa charge us.
What if I have a retail storefront and need a P.O.S. terminal?
If you have a retail store where every transaction will be "swiped" then we suggest leasing or purchasing a Point of Sale Terminal. If the majority of your transactions are not going to be "swiped", then our FREE Authorize.net Internet Gateway solution is definitely your answer. What cards will I be able to accept?
The Authorize.net gateway will allow you to accept nearly all card types available in addition to electronic checks. With your Free Merchant Account, we give you the ability to accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We offer free setup for all 4 major card types. However the processing fee structure for accepting Discover and American Express are slightly different than MasterCard and Visa. Please contact us for specific details.
What if I have a bad credit score?
Very few applications get declined. (And credit (or lack of) is not typically the reason). If you have terrible credit, your discount rate/fees may be slightly higher, but most likely you will still get approved. Over 99% of our applications get approved by one of our processing bank partners.
When do I get my FREE copy of CheckMAN?
When we mail your "application package" to you, we will include your certificate for your FREE copy of CheckMAN Software. You will be able to download your copy from the internet. The registration fee on your copy will already be prepaid.
How do I get the money from my credit card sales?
The completed sales from your credit card processing will be batched out daily, and deposited directly into your checking account. The money is deposited electronically into your local bank... There's no need to open up a new checking account to use our services.
Does it cost extra to setup with Discover?
Absolutely Not! We setup your Discover account with absolutely no setup fees, or application fees. With most other processors, it will typically cost you at least $50 to get setup with Discover. With CMS, all setup fees are waived.
Does it cost extra to setup with American Express?
Not with us. Other companies charge up to an extra $100 for processing an American Express merchant application. With us, it's FREE.

How long does it take to get set up with an account?
In many cases, we can have your account set up the same day that we receive your application. If you have a high volume account, or you have a higher risk business, it might take a bit longer.

Keep in mind however, that we offer some of the lowest processing rates available. Very rarely are we not able to beat the rate you are currently paying. What if my application is declined?
Very few applications get declined. If you have terrible credit, your discount rate/fees may be slightly higher, but most likely you will still get approved. If you do get declined, your FREE copy of CheckMAN is still yours to keep.
